Iced Coffee with Kahlua and Bailey’s is the perfect pick-me-up. It’s smooth, creamy, and slightly sweet with Irish cream and coffee flavors.

Iced Coffee with Kahlua and Bailey’s is a cold, boozy, adult indulgence that gives an ordinary cup of coffee a little something special. It’s great to have mid-afternoon or as an after-dinner drink.

Of course, you can always switch out the regular coffee for decaf if you prefer. Are you a coffee lover?

I have to be honest. I couldn’t stand the taste of coffee until 2009 when we moved to Miami and John talked me into trying something from a local coffee shop.

Let me tell you, after one drink of that White Chocolate Mocha, I was hooked.

Ever since we’ve been trying different brands of coffees and playing around with various recipes.

It’s pretty amazing what you can make with a touch of flavored syrup and some homemade whipped cream.

The irish cream, coffee, and other ingredients for the recipe.

This recipe was born of my love of Irish Cream coffee like Bailey’s Coffee but out of necessity to have a cold drink for the hot summer months.

I like to think of it as the cousin to one of my favorite winter drinks, Coffee with Kahlua.

The irish cream being poured into a glass filled with ice.

All you need for this recipe is a blender, coffee pot, and a couple of coffee mugs.

In just a few minutes you’ll have a tasty drink that’s perfectly sippable and will make an iced coffee lover out of anyone.

The coffee is being added to the ice and irish cream.

One of the best things about this drink is how easy it is to modify. If you aren’t a fan of Kahlua, simply leave it out.

Do you like a certain flavor of non-dairy creamer? Add your favorite kind!

Iced Coffee with Kahlua and Bailey’s can be made using soy or nut milk or omitting one of the alcohols. It’s simple to mix things up, so make it your own.

If you’re looking for a blended, boozy drink try a Frozen Mudslide! It’s full of ice cream, chocolate, Kahlua, Bailey’s, and vodka.

  1. This sounds delicious and based on the comments I can’t wait to try it tomorrow for a boozy brunch. Is it OK to make a big batch ahead in a jug and then pour over ice into individual cups when needed please?

    1. Thanks so much!

Making a big batch ahead of time should work great. We’d recommend storing it in the fridge until ready to serve. Have a great weekend!

  2. There’s no mention that usually coffee for iced coffee is brewed stronger. Though if you make coffee ice cubes ahead then you can use regular brewed.

  3. Thank you so much for posting this! I made a similar drink several years ago at a party & have not come across another alcoholic beverage I liked with iced coffee since. It was luck the drink tasted good back then. I think i used Taquilla Rose, Kailua, iced mocha coffee, & Baileys then but I never got the mixture right again. LOL I definitely prefer your version anyways.

    1. Thanks so much, JoAnn! Boozy coffee drinks are some of my favorites. We have a couple of adult hot coffee drinks, and I hope to add some more iced coffee ones in the future. Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

  4. I use leftover coffee and freeze into ice cubes and use the “coffee ice cubes” instead of just “cubes”. Yum!

  5. Just saw this recipe today and thought, I have all the ingredients I’ll give it a shot. Absolutely DELICIOUS!! My family, all adults, asked what I made, so I let them try it, now I’m making them for everyone! Thank you.

  8. I’m so excited to show my husband! He’s a huge coffee lover and anything with Baileys and Kahlua will make him smile all the more. I’m not sure I can make mine as pretty as yours, but I’ll give it a try! x

    1. Thank you, Ali! I hope your husband loves the drink. Kim does an amazing job on the pictures. She has the staging and editing thing down, for sure. No worries, my food usually isn’t as pretty as hers lol! You can probably tell a difference between Kim’s cooking and my cooking just by looking at the dishes. Thanks again for commenting and have a lovely Wednesday 🙂
