Ingredients

Simple Syrup

  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Cups Water

Coconut Rum Mojito

  • 1 Medium Lime (juiced)
  • 2 to 4 Large Cubes of Ice
  • 3 Ounces Coconut Rum (Jimmy Buffett's Margarita Brand)
  • 6 to 8 Large Mint Leaves

Instructions

Simple Syrup

  • First, combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Then, bring the ingredients to a boil over high heat while stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  • Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool completely before using it in the drinks.

Coconut Rum Mojito

  • First, juice the lime and split the liquid between two cocktail glasses.
  • Next, muddle the mint and lime juice together. Make sure to split the leaves up evenly between the drinks.
  • Now, using half the ingredients per drink, combine the ice, the rum, and the simple syrup in your cocktail shaker. 
  • Last, shake the mixture vigorously for about 10 seconds and then pour it into the glass with the mint and lime juice. Repeat step three again to prepare the second drink.
