I use very little salt in these potatoes, so you may need to add more after mixing the add-ins.
Normally, I saute the garlic in a tiny bit of olive oil then add it to the mashed potatoes. You can also use raw garlic, jarred garlic, or boil a couple of cloves of garlic with the potatoes.
