A quick, delicious flat iron steak recipe made with a custom blend of seasonings, seared to perfection in a flat iron skillet. It makes for an excellent weeknight dinner option.

  • 1.5 Lbs. Strip Steak (cut of your choice)
  • 3 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Seasoned Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder


  • First, combine the salt, pepper, Italian seasonings, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small bowl and mix them together.
  • Next, season the steaks with the seasoning mix, be sure to use all of the spices.
  • Now, preheat an iron skillet over medium heat and melt the butter in the pan.
  • Then, add the steaks to the hot pan and let them cook for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or to your desired doneness.
  • Last, let the flat iron steaks rest for 10-minutes then serve with sides.
