Layer the chips onto the bottom of a baking dish. Top the chips with the chili, and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chili.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the chili is hot.
Remove from the oven, and top with onions. Serve immediately.
