Ingredients
30ouncesfrozen chopped broccolithawed and well drained (3 packages, 10-ounces each)
3cupscooked white rice
2tablespoonsunsalted butter
½large oniondiced
½cupcelerychopped
1(10 ¾ ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1(10 ½ ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1cupwhole milk
½teaspoongarlic powder
½teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonblack pepper
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F, and grease the 9x13 baking dish.
Stir the broccoli and rice together in a large bowl. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.

Melt the butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, and cook until softened.

Stir in the cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the mixture is smooth.
1 (10 ¾ ounce) can cream of chicken soup, 1 (10 ½ ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, 1 cup whole milk, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Pour the sauce over the broccoli and rice. Stir gently to coat, then sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly on top.
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Cover the dish with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake 5 to 10 minutes more until the top is bubbly and the cheese melts.

An 8 ounce jar of shelf stable cheese whiz may be substituted for the cheddar cheese soup. Adjust the milk to reach the desired consistency. Typically, you’ll need a little less milk when using cheese whiz.
