Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan or line it with paper liners.
Add the butter and milk chocolate chips to a large microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 15 to 20-second bursts, stirring between each one, until melted and smooth.
¾ cup unsalted butter, ¾ cup milk chocolate chips
Mix in the sugar and eggs until fully combined.
¾ cup granulated sugar, 2 large eggs
Pour in the heavy cream and stir just until combined.
¼ cup heavy cream
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir just until the batter comes together. Don’t overmix.
¾ cup all-purpose flour, ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon baking soda
Divide the batter evenly between the muffin cups (about ⅔ of the way full). Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
As soon as the brownies come out of the oven, press a truffle into the center of each one.

Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes. Top with holiday sprinkles, then dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
Holiday sprinkles, Powdered sugar
Notes
Press the truffles into the brownies while they’re still hot so they soften and melt into the centers.
This recipe makes 12 individual brownies in a standard muffin pan.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 4 days. Freeze for up to 2 months.
