Preheat the oven to 375°F, and lightly grease a 2-quart or 11 x 8.5-inch baking dish.
Combine the flour, sugar, milk, butter, and baking powder. Pour the batter into the baking dish.

Mix the strawberries and sugar together, and carefully scoop the berries over the batter.
3 cups strawberries, 1 cup granulated sugar
Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
