This strawberry banana smoothie is the perfect start to your day. It’s loaded with fresh bananas and strawberries and sweetened with a touch of honey!
Weekday breakfasts are always the worst. If you’re anything like us, then you try to hit the ground running every morning.
However, trying to fit in a decent breakfast can be quite the challenge. Enter our strawberry banana smoothie.
It takes everything you love about a fresh breakfast and puts it all into one glass.
We start with bananas and strawberries, then we add a little old fashioned oats, milk, and top everything off with a touch of raw honey. It really is a wonderfully sweet drink that feels like a dessert.
How to make a strawberry banana smoothie:
First, slice up enough bananas to fill a dry measuring cup. Usually, that means about two average-sized bananas.
Next, measure out the strawberries, oats, milk, and honey.
Then, in a large blender, combine all the ingredients. Use the liquefy setting on your blender to create a smooth drink.
Last, split the smoothie up between two 12-ounce glasses and garish with fresh strawberries or mint.

Smoothie Tips:
If you’re lactose intolerant, fell free to almond milk or coconut milk as a substitute for the dairy variety.
To reduce the calories or carbs in this drink, try using a sugar substitute. However, since I have not tried this myself I cannot confirm how much you should substitute.
All out of old fashioned oats, let use quick oats instead.

Thank you, Veronika! We love smoothies too and used to get them a specialty smoothie shops, but after years of watching them use things like ice cream we wanted something a bit more natural. So, we started using things frozen fruit and honey as sweeteners and freezing agents. All in all, I like these better than their commercial cousins. Have a great day Veronkia!
