Our Leftover Ham Pepper and Ranch Flatbread combines the flavors of cured ham, sweet colorful peppers, creamy ranch dressing and rich mozzarella cheese.
There are times, mostly after making holiday meals, when you just want something easy and comforting. We have all been there, the day after a big celebration, staring into our refrigerators searching for a simple and delicious dish. You are exhausted, and the last thing want is another plate of leftovers. It’s hard to eat the same thing over and over again until it’s all been devoured. Fortunately, we have been able to come up with a recipe that uses some of the excess food in your fridge while still incorporating some fresh flavors and comforting staples.
Our leftover ham, pepper, and ranch flatbread came to us a while ago when there was a ton of holiday ham in the kitchen and some other mixed ingredients. Ham, onions, and peppers are some of my favorite pizza toppings, so we figured why not put those same toppings on a flatbread with ranch dressing. Turns out, it was pretty delicious! With Easter arriving in the coming weeks, we decided it was the perfect time to share this recipe with everyone.
Making this little savory treat is about as simple as it gets and that’s a relief given the amount of time you will have already spent making the Easter ham, various sides, and tasty dessert. I know I would need a break after all of that work. So, when you are making your holiday shopping list, be sure to include ingredients that can be utilized in creating new and appealing meals with all that extra food taking up real estate in your fridge. I don’t usually do this, but, we tried a new flatbread this time around, and it was excellent! Brooklyn BRED, yes it’s spelled that way on purpose, makes an excellent product.

I know I say this a bunch, but once again, this recipe is easy peasy to make. All you have to do is a few simple steps, and then you will be enjoying your a warm and cheesy meal. First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and then dice your peppers and onions. Go ahead and set them aside in a bowl. Once the vegetables are diced, shred the ham and set it aside in a different bowl. Next, take a large sheet pan or silicone baking mat and place the unwrapped flatbread on the pan. Then evenly spread the ranch dressing onto the bread using a wooden spoon. Afterward, layer the ham, and vegetables, making sure to cover almost all the flatbread.
The following step is to sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the meat and veggies. With the toppings in place, pop the flatbread into your preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until all the cheese is melted. Lastly, remove the finished dish from the oven and slice it into four equal servings. Please ensure that you plate and serve it before it cools so you can enjoy all that gooey cheese! If for some inexplicable reason, you have some left, it can be stored for up to three days in your fridge in a sealed container. That’s all there is to making this easy leftover ham, pepper, and ranch flatbread.

- 5 Ounces Mozzarella Cheese Grated
- 3 Ounces Ham Shredded
- 4 Ounces Ranch Dressing
- 1/8 Cup Red Onion Diced
- 1/4 Cup Green Bell Peppers
- 1/4 Cup Sweet Red Peppers Red Bell
- 1/4 Cup Sweet Orange Peppers Orange Bell
- 1/4 Cup Sweet Yellow Peppers Yellow Bell
- 1 Large Flatbread 7.5 Ounces or 212 grams
On a large sheet pan or silicone baking mat, place flatbread.
Spread ranch dressing over flatbread.
Then add shredded ham.
Layer onions and peppers on top of ham.
Generously sprinkle mozzarella cheese over vegetables and meat.
Place in preheated oven and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese has melted.
Remove from oven and slice into 4 equal sized pieces and serve while hot.
Can be stored in sealed container and stored in a refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Can be reheated in microwave on medium heat for approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
