Coffee with Kahlua is warm and creamy with a hint of coffee liqueur. It’s the perfect drink to enjoy on a chilly day wrapped up in your favorite blanket.
It’s rainy here in Arkansas, and we’ve had storms and rain for days. The roads are slick, the grass is muddy, and the streams are filling up.
Going outside is downright dreadful. If the temperature were about twenty degrees cooler, I’d swear it was autumn.
Because of the yucky weather, I stayed inside most of the weekend. It was the perfect time to curl up in bed and have one of my favorite warm drinks, a Coffee with Kahlua.
Coffee with Kahlua only takes a few minutes to make and can be made as strong or sweet as you like. I can’t think of a better way to spend a lazy weekend afternoon.
How to Make Coffee with Kahlua:
To make Coffee with Kahlua, start by brewing your favorite coffee. I’ve never tried this recipe with flavored coffees such as hazelnut or vanilla, but it might be worth trying.
Choose your favorite coffee mug and add one ounce (1 shot) of Kahlua or coffee flavored liqueur. Kahlua is slightly sweet, so you may not need additional sweeteners.
If you do prefer more sweetness, try adding coffee creamer or another sweetener of your choice.
I’ve found that coffee creamer adds both sweetness and creaminess but a teaspoon or two of sweetened condensed milk works well in a pinch.
Milk, cream, or half and half work well if you want to add creaminess without additional sugar.
Finally, pour in the freshly brewed coffee and stir to mix. For extra sweetness and flavor, top with some of our Irish Cream whipped cream. It’s the perfect finishing touch!

This is one of my favourite ways to have coffee. on the last day of class in college we’d always start our morning off drinking as a campus tradition, and Kahlua in my coffee was alway my preferred beverage
