Marshmallow Pebbles Treats Tips and Variations:
- Unsalted butter works well in this recipe, but salted butter would also taste great.
- Swap out the Fruity Pebbles for Cocoa Pebbles to make the marshmallow treats chocolatey!
- Feel free to substitute regular marshmallows in place of mini marshmallows. You'll need about 40 regular sized marshmallows to equal 10 ounces (6 cups) of mini marshmallows.
- A pinch of salt will enhance the flavors of the ingredients. A little vanilla tastes great, too.
- Use your favorite breakfast cereal in place of Fruity Pebbles. The possibilities are endless.
Room Temperature: Store these marshmallow treats at room temperature wrapped individually in plastic wrap. They'll stay fresh for about 3 to 4 days. If you'd rather not wrap each one individually, place the entire batch in an airtight container, and they'll be good for 2 to 3 days.
Refrigerator: We do not recommend placing these treats in the refrigerator. The cool, dry air tends to dry out the cereal and make the marshmallow treats hard.
Freezer: We don't recommend freezing Fruity Pebbles Treats.
