Easy Fall Cocktail Recipe
This pumpkin spice espresso martini has all the flavors of a pumpkin spice latte but in a grown-ups only drink. It’s creamy, rich, and has the best fall spices in a single glass.
I make mine with vodka, either Irish cream or Kahlua, freshly brewed espresso, and store-bought pumpkin syrup. It takes less than 5 minutes to make, looks elegant in a martini glass, and works great for parties or a Thanksgiving cocktail hour.
If you love espresso martinis, this version is a fun seasonal twist. The pumpkin spice syrup blends perfectly with the fresh espresso and Irish cream for a creamy, frothy drink everyone will enjoy!

How to Make It
Here’s a quick snapshot of how I make this fall cocktail. The full recipe is further down the page.
Add the vodka, Irish cream (or Kahlua), espresso, and pumpkin spice syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake it until the drink is cold and frothy, about 20 seconds.

Strain into a chilled martini glass and top with a light dusting of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. Add a few coffee beans or a cinnamon stick for extra garnish.
If you prefer a creamy espresso martini, go with Irish cream. For a more classic version, use Kahlua or another coffee liqueur instead.
Quick Tips
- Freshly brewed espresso gives the best flavor and texture. If you don’t have an espresso machine, use the same amount of strong coffee instead.
- Use cold ingredients if possible. This is especially true for the espresso. Make sure it’s chilled so it doesn’t melt the ice.
- Store-bought pumpkin spice syrups can vary in sweetness, so taste and tweak as needed.

Making Drinks for a Crowd
If you’re serving several people, it’s easy to batch the base ahead of time. Scale up the amount as much as you need.
Combine your favorite vodka, pumpkin spice syrup, and Baileys in a large pitcher or jar, then keep it chilled until ready to serve.
When you’re ready to serve the drinks, brew some fresh espressos or make some ahead of time and keep it in the fridge for up to a day.
Add the espresso to the shaker with ice, pour in the premixed base, and shake a few at a time so the drinks stay frothy.
If you’d rather skip the shaker for a large batch, stir everything over ice in a pitcher, then strain into martini glasses. It won’t be foamy, but it still tastes just as good.
