Irish Beef Stew

Irish Beef Stew is a hearty recipe perfect for those chilly days.

Ingredients

– bacon – boneless beef        chuck roast – salt & pepper – onions – garlic cloves  – carrots

Ingredients

– celery – all-purpose flour – Guinness Stout – beef broth – tomato paste – fresh thyme – marjoram

Step 1

Add bacon to a soup pot & cook until crispy. Remove & partially drain.

Step 2

Season beef with salt & pepper.  Add to the pan & brown on all sides.

Step 3

Add onion & garlic. Cook until soft.

Step 4

Add carrots & celery. Stir. Sprinkle in the flour & cook 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Pour in beer, broth, tomato paste, thyme & marjoram. Stir & add beef.

Step 6

Simmer covered for 2 hours. Cook uncovered an additional 30-45 min.

Step 7

Season & serve warm.
