Amaretto Whipped Cream
A deliciously simple whipped cream recipe made with amaretto liqueur, heavy cream, and a little powdered sugar. It takes boring whipped toppings to the next level!

If you follow our recipes then you probably already know we have other homemade whipped cream recipes.
They range from a plain whipped cream with heavy cream and powdered sugar to some flavored options like Irish cream, bourbon, and maple whipped cream.
Why not add another one to the list?! Our amaretto whipped cream is boozy, almond-flavored, and perfectly sweetened.
It tastes delicious on iced coffees, lattes, and your favorite desserts. It doesn’t take long to make and only requires a few ingredients. To be honest, I’m not sure why there aren’t more flavored whipped creams on the market.
How to Make Amaretto Whipped Cream
Add the heavy cream and powdered sugar to the bowl of a stand mixer. If you don’t have a stand mixer, that’s ok. Use a large mixing bowl and a hand mixer.
Using the whisk attachment beat on low speed for 2 to 3 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and is incorporated into the heavy cream.

Increase the speed to medium for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until the whipped cream begins to form soft peaks. Then, turn off the mixer.
Pour in the amaretto liqueur, and continue to mix another 1 to 2 minutes until stiff peaks form. Serve immediately on your best desserts or drinks!

How to Store Leftover Whipped Cream
Leftover whipped cream lasts in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Give it a good whisk before using if it looks loose or has started separate.
It can be frozen, but it’s not something I recommend. The texture gets grainy and separation can occur.
If you plan to drop it into a hot drink like a white chocolate mocha or Bailey’s coffee, then freezing shouldn’t be an issue. It will melt right into the hot liquid.
