Combine okra, buttermilk, garlic salt & pepper in a bowl.
Mix together flour, cornmeal & seasonings in a ziplock bag.
Remove okra from the buttermilk and toss in the breading until coated.
Heat oil & fry until golden brown and crispy.
Allow the okra to drain on a wire rack before serving.
