Fried Okra

This Breaded Fried Okra is a southern staple made in 20 minutes!

Ingredients

Okra:   – okra pods   – buttermilk   – garlic salt   – ground black          pepper

Ingredients

Breading:   – all-purpose flour   – cornmeal   – garlic salt   – onion powder   – sweet paprika   – ground black          pepper   – oil

Step 1

Combine okra,  buttermilk, garlic salt & pepper in a bowl.

Step 2

Mix together flour, cornmeal & seasonings in a ziplock bag.

Step 3

Remove okra from the buttermilk and toss in the breading until coated.

Step 4

Heat oil & fry until golden brown and crispy.

Step 5

Allow the okra to drain on a wire rack before serving.
