Iced Coffee with Baileys and Kahlua is the perfect pick-me-up. It’s smooth, creamy, and slightly sweet with Irish cream and coffee flavors.
Happy 4th of July weekend!! I hope you are relaxing and having a fabulous time. 🙂 I ran all my errands early yesterday and plan to stay home until I’m due back at my full-time job Tuesday morning. Hopefully, you are lucky enough to have Monday off to enjoy the holiday.
Regardless of what you’ll be doing, I whipped up a little something with you in mind. I thought at some point you mind need a little pick-me-up, so I made Iced Coffee with Baileys and Kahlua. Obviously, this is a grown-up drink, not to be shared with the kiddos or anyone under age 21. This drink is delicious and only takes 10 minutes to make. Best of all, it’s icy cold, which makes it perfect for a hot July day!
Iced Coffee with Baileys and Kahlua is smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. If you like coffee and Irish cream, you’ll LOVE this drink!
Brew the Coffee:
Start off by brewing a fresh pot of coffee while getting out the other ingredients. My favorite coffees to use are Cafe Bustelo and Pilon. Have I mentioned I live in Southwest Florida? These brands are very popular here, so that makes them easy to find.
Mix the Ingredients:
Gather the heavy cream or half and half, Baileys, Kahlua, and ice. Place a few ice cubes into a cocktail shaker, and add all the ingredients except the coffee. Swirl the shaker gently to mix the ingredients. Be careful not shake the contents, because shaking will cause the cream based liquids to stick to the ice cubes and break.
Add additional ice cubes to a large glass. Carefully pour the cream mixture and coffee into to the glass, and stir to combine.
Enjoy Iced Coffee with Baileys and Kahlua plain without any garnish, or if you prefer, top it with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or caramel sauce. Add a funky straw and there you go! A quick and easy grown-up iced coffee. 🙂
I’d love to know what you think! Leave me a comment if you make Iced Coffee with Baileys and Kahlua.
