We love to sauté mushrooms with fresh or dried herbs! Sautéing brings out their flavor while helping to release excess moisture that can make the mushrooms soggy.

While sautéing is our favorite way to prepare mushrooms, it’s not the only way to enjoy them. They are also delicious grilled, baked, fried, or mixed with other ingredients and cooked.

What Food Goes Well with Mushrooms?

When prepared properly, mushrooms are essentially sponges for flavor. They’re delicious, juicy, and go with so many different foods. 

Here are some of my favorite recipes to make with mushrooms:

This cream of mushroom soup is the perfect healthier substitute for the canned stuff.

It’s made with a simple combination of milk, flour, chicken broth, mushrooms, and a few seasonings.

Whip this soup up in just 15 minutes and use it in place of canned cream soup in sauces or casseroles! You’ll never go back to store-bought.
