Ground beef is one of my favorite simple and economical ways to add protein to any dinner.

So, of course, I decided to put together a list of all of my favorite ground beef recipes

We’ve got pastas, casseroles, soups, meatloaf, and pretty much anything you could imagine.

The next time you’re wondering what to make with ground beef, you know where to look!

What is the Difference Between Ground Beef and Hamburger?

Ground beef is the meat that is used to make a traditional hamburger patty. Because of that, the terms “ground beef” and “hamburger meat” are used interchangeably.

What is the Best Ground Beef?

In general, the most recommended ground beef is that with an 80/20 lean to fat ratio.

It has just enough fat to keep the beef nice and juicy, but not so much that you end up with too much oil in whatever dish you’re making.

While the 80/20 ratio is probably the most common, you can absolutely stick to the recommendations of whatever recipe you’re using!

Does Ground Beef Keep Better Cooked or Raw?

If you’re storing it in the fridge, cooked ground beef definitely outlasts raw ground beef.

If it’s raw and uncooked, it will only last for 1-2 days while if it’s cooked it can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days.

If you plan on freezing your ground beef, you can store it cooked or frozen. Either way it will last for up to 2 months before it begins to show signs of freezer burn.
